Appointment of four new directors at Otera Capital

Otera Capital is proud to announce the appointment of four new directors who will further diversify and complement the expertise on its Board of Directors.
These new members are:
Lise Bastarache, a corporate director on the boards of Laurentian Bank and Chartwell Retirement Residences. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Jean Coutu Group for over 15 years. Between 1996 and 2005, she successfully held the positions of Economist and Quebec Regional Vice-President, Private Banking at the Royal Bank of Canada. Ms. Bastarache is a graduate of the University of Quebec at Montréal.
Viateur Chénard, a corporate director specializing in real estate investment and development. From 1992 to 2008, he was a partner at the law firm Stikeman Elliot where he developed a practice focused on real estate law. Mr. Chénard is a graduate of the University of Montréal and has been a member of the Quebec Bar Association since 1977.
Laurent Giguère, a recognized expert in governance and financial reporting and a retired partner from KPMG. He spent almost 40 years at KPMG, including 28 as Partner for Audit with the firm’s major clients. His duties included sitting on more than 300 public company audit committees. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation of Greater Montréal and served on the Quebec Chapter Board of Directors of the Institute of Corporate Directors for seven years.
Christine Marchildon, who has over 30 years of experience as a top-tier executive in major financial institutions. She was Senior Vice-President, Branch Banking, and Chair, Quebec Market at TD Bank Group. Very involved in the community, Ms. Marchildon was the president of the Women’s Y Foundation. She is also a member of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a member of the Executive Committee and the Finance and Audit Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.
These new members join Claude Bergeron, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Depositor Relationships at CDPQ, as Chairman of the Board, and Rana Ghorayeb, President and Chief Executive Officer of Otéra. Marc Cormier, Executive Vice-President and Head of Fixed Income at CDPQ, Sylvain Fortier, Chief Investment and Innovation Officer at Ivanhoé Cambridge and Mylène Villeneuve, Portfolio Manager, Real Estate and Private Equity, Desjardins Group Pension Plan, remain on the Board.
